A painful WooCommerce pattern: the order is in the dashboard, payment looks fine, and the customer says no email arrived. Support threads fill with guesses.
## Split the problem
**WooCommerce / WordPress side**
– Order status emails enabled for the right statuses
– Correct “from” address and customer email on the order
– Plugin conflicts that interrupt `wp_mail`
**Server / deliverability side**
– Host blocks or throttles PHP mail
– SPF/DKIM/DMARC missing for the sending domain
– Messages land in spam, not “never sent”
## Practical first checks
1. Confirm the order exists and note status transitions.
2. Check WooCommerce → Settings → Emails.
3. Send a WordPress test mail from the same environment.
4. Review host logs or a transactional mail plugin’s log if one is already in place.
This is troubleshooting, not a promise that every mailbox provider will accept every message. Gateway or DNS issues still belong with those providers when that is the failing layer.
Describe the store URL and whether admin notification emails fail too — that detail narrows the path quickly.
